

The 25th International Conference on Disaster Medicine (MEKA) will take place from June 17–19, 2026. This anniversary edition of this traditional professional event builds on previous successful gatherings and affirms the conference's long-standing significance as a respected platform for professional discussion, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the systematic sharing of knowledge in the field of disaster medicine and crisis management.
The main theme of the conference is: Preparedness for Public Health Threats on an Global Scale. The professional presentations will introduce both theoretical and practical approaches to addressing these situations and will be based on real-world field experience. Speakers and participants will include experts from the fields of healthcare, crisis management, public health services, the armed forces, and components of the integrated rescue system.
An important part of the conference will also be a trade exhibition featuring companies focused on presenting modern technologies, products, and system solutions applicable to the prevention, management, and response to crisis situations.

The international workshop BIOHAZARD TEAM 2025 took place on 2 December 2025 at the EGO Zlín Academy. Experts from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, and Austria shared their experience in managing high-consequence infectious diseases and provided valuable feedback for further development of equipment and procedures used by biohazard response teams.
