"HVOZDNÁ 2010" – THE UNIQUE AND OUTSTANDING PRESENTATION EVENT
The 13th anniversary of so called Medicine of Catastrophes, an international conference, is being held this year. EGO Zlín, Ltd. is one of the organizers. The conference is designated for individual units of the Integrated Rescue System, the army, crisis managers of all operating levels from the Czech Republic, Slovak Republic as well as from foreign countries. This year's conference is not a usual one due to the fact that it is divided into two parts. The first one was held on 4-6 May 2010 in Hvozdna, a village near Zlin and focused on presentations on the following topic: 'PREPAREDNESS-guarantees an appropriate and successful dealing with emergency situations. The second part will focus on lectures and will be held on 8-10 June 2010 in Slovakia and supported by the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic.
'Hvozdna 2010, presentation part of the conference, was supported by MVDr. Stanislav Mišák , governor of the Zlín Region, again by the Zlin Region (for the fifth time) and in close cooperation with The Fire Brigade Rescue Corps of the Zlín Region.
The main aim of the 6th May 2010 was to prepare a special presentation event about developing products to ensure preparedness, and dealing with emergency situations and bring into effect. Thanks to cooperation with domestic and foreign companies dealing with the issues and our Czech NBC Team partners, the exhibition was divided into four themed parts: the complex system of biological protection, the complex system of decontamination of persons, technical devices, environment and tent systems for crisis management and also rescue gear system. The results of the IMPULS project were given as well. The project (submitted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic) is called ' Research, Development and Execution of Biologic Protection Gear ' of which EGO Zlín, Ltd was an organizer and standard bearer in the years of 2007-2009.
Almost 250 specialists saw the exhibits including dynamic displays. The visitors were mostly interested in the proposed solution to the complex system of decontamination of persons in case of mass contagious patient reception designed mainly for fire brigade rescue corps and hospitals. A technological solution to the newly developed Bio Body Bag with the options of negative or positive pressure principles enabling safe transportation of individuals suspected of highly virulent infection or individuals touched by microbiological agents aroused considerable interest as well. As far as foreign exhibitors were concerned, TEMET, the company from Finland generated the greatest interest with a special system of collective protection.
'Hvozdna 2010' was not only an event full of product exhibitions but it was also a unique opportunity for the specialists not only from the Czech and Slovak Republics but also from Poland, Hungary, Austria, Finland and Russia to discuss the issues concerned.
